WebCBT Therapist Training 1. How do I go about training as a CBT therapist? IAPT services recruit two types of workers. Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners (PWPs) and High Intensity CBT Therapists, who respectively offer low and high intensity intervention. Information on training for PWP workers and IAPT accredited training is available on Webcharacterised by its ‘low contact-high volume’ approach (Clark et al., 2009). PWPs receive one hour per week of IT-driven case management supervision using outcomes from IAPT minimum dataset to ensure high volume, and regular clinical supervision to ensure low contact (i.e., fidelity to low intensity methods).
